A Refreshing Day Out along the Holy River Ganges
During Christmas vacation, we planned to go on a long drive along the hilly terrain connecting Roorkee and Badarinath with literally no predefined destination in our minds. We just wanted to get sunk and rejuvenate ourselves simply by enjoying the natural scenic beauty while driving through, with the holy river Ganges on one side and the sacred Himalayan ranges on the other side. After driving for about two hours from Roorkee, we reached a small town named, Shivpuri, a place well known for river rafting, camping and other adventurous sports. As we were passing by the town, a beautiful view of camp site along the streams of Ganges stunned us. We parked our car along the road and trekked down to see the view. The breathtaking views of the place at the Himalayan foothills across the holy river Ganges are so mesmerizing and inviting.
